Register with your email, complete the required identity information inside MyTAXPortal, and create your private login.

Complete your organizer
Answer the guided questions about filing status, dependents, income, deductions, credits, health coverage, and refund preferences.

Upload ID and tax documents
Use your phone or computer to upload clear photos or files of photo ID, Social Security or ITIN records, W-2s, 1099s, prior returns, and supporting records.

Review, approve, and e-sign
Track requests, answer follow-up questions, review your completed return, approve the figures, and sign securely in MyTAXPortal.

Helpful answers
Do I need two accounts?
No. This guide does not require a separate client account. Your secure sign-in is managed by MyTAXPortal.
Do I have to book a consultation before I begin?
No. You can create your MyTAXPortal account and begin the organizer yourself. Book a consultation if you want help understanding the process or your filing needs.
Where should I upload my tax documents?
Upload tax documents only inside MyTAXPortal after signing in. Do not email documents containing sensitive information.
Where do I enter my SSN and dependent information?
Enter Social Security numbers, dependent details, and other required identity information only in the secure MyTAXPortal registration and organizer screens. This guide never receives or stores it.
What if I forgot my portal password?
Open MyTAXPortal and select the password-reset option. The reset message will be sent to the email address used for your portal account.
Can I use this on my phone?
Yes. This guide and MyTAXPortal are mobile friendly. You can install this guide on your home screen for quick access.
